 After just a few keystrokes and a call to us, you can activate Cup Manager's payment solution. For several years we have been using Stripe as a supplier of both card payments and now also an integration with Klarna. 

This is our recommended way of handling payments because it so effectively reduces all the time you spend managing your finances. Likewise, the consequent problems that can arise from hold not paying on time or not showing up to the tournament at all. If you are unlucky, it is also very easy to repay money. For you as an organizer, it costs the same and works the same regardless of whether the customer used a card or Klarna.

Features and overview

Often a leader receives compensation from their club for at least the team registration fee. With Klarna, the leader can wait 14 days to pay while the tournament receives a confirmed payment and all the money directly to their Stripe account.  This means that no one needs to be out with money, but the leader can in peace and quiet wait for their compensation from the association before paying.

The second the payments are made, they are linked to their registration in Cup Manager. You can always be absolutely sure when all approved teams have paid their registration fee. This means that you can be sure that the registrations have not been made by mistake or by someone who does not intend to come to the tournament.

Since the connection between payment and registration takes place in Cup Manager, neither you nor your customers need to keep track of OCR numbers or the registration page anymore. It is handled automatically in Cup Manager, which ensures that all the money ends up in the right place. No more detective work with payments that cannot be linked to a report.

Unlike other payment methods, your customers receive direct feedback on their payments both in their team account and via email. This means that you no longer have to answer questions about bank payments that have not yet been registered or have not yet arrived at your bank account. It also makes it much easier to manage deadlines on e.g. discounts. When there are only limited seats for one class, it is also easy to have a first come, first served, mean the first paid one and thus avoid all administration afterwards. Together with our reserve list function, you get a complete solution for registering teams.

Refunds are as simple as clicking on the payment inside Cup Manager and then selecting how much of the payment should be refunded. After that, everything is handled automatically by Cup Manager and our supplier Stripe, who make sure that money gets back to the right card and bank account within a few days.

For you as an organizer, it makes no difference if you received the payment via payment location or Klarna, you handle it in the same way inside Cup Manager.

With an integrated payment solution, you avoid virtually all the work you have previously put into collecting and managing payments. All connectors are automatic and managed in real time. No waiting times for money to be moved from one bank to another. In the system there are easy exports of ready-made documents you can use directly in your accounting.

Cross-border payments via bank accounts have never been easy. It is to be found IBAN numbers and bank addresses and paid transfer fees. With our payment solution, your customers can pay directly with their payment card without any obstacles. In addition, if Klarna supports it for their country, they can directly pay in their currency without worrying about exchange rates.

Most of our tournaments currently use card payments and Klarna to collect their registration fees. In addition, the vast majority of them have chosen not to have an alternative way of receiving payments (although individual exceptions can always be made). It simplifies their administration of registered teams when they can be 100% sure that the teams have already paid as soon as they registered.

Klarna and cards are the preferred payment methods in Sweden in 2019.

 For e-commerce, the Swedes state that 33% prefer cards and 41% prefer invoice services (eg Klarna) when shopping. Both payment methods supported by Cup Manager are thus by a margin more popular than the remaining payment methods. Together with direct payments which are also supported via our integration with Klarna, 85% of all Swedes will find their preferred payment method when they register for your tournament.
